Russian flag is prohibited at Olympic objects in Pyeongchang

Russian fans who decided to support their athletes at the Winter Olympics will not be able to carry the
national flag to the stands of the Olympic venues. All attempts to carry the Russian tricolor will be
severely suppressed.

IOC adopted another discriminatory decision regarding Russian athletes, and found an explanation to it.

Namely - at the Olympics it is not allowed to use the symbols of countries that do not take part in the
Games.
On December 5, the Russian national team was suspended from the competition in Pyeongchang, so the
ban also applies to the national flag of our country. IOC issued a corresponding extract from the
regulations, the "Sport-Express" reports.

The ban on the use of national symbols extends not only to the Russian sports delegation, but also to
those fans who decide to support the Russian Olympians. They will be prohibited from carrying to sports
facilities flags, as well as any other items containing Russian symbols.
