The base is located on the northern outskirts of Vinitsa - 10 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bus number 31 from the center of Varna. It opened its doors in 1980, built it for three years: most had to tinker with the creation of a level playground for the arena - in the conditions of mountainous terrain and rocky soil, the task turned out to be difficult. Now, in one open arena with the tribunes, 3 equestrian clubs at once — the Sporten Equestrian Sport Club of Varna, the Angard Riding Club and the Khan Kubrat IC, who own 4 stables: 2 stables at the Varna and one by the other clubs. Each stable is designed for 20 horses, in total now on the basis of 55 animals. By the way, according to the classification of the Bulgarian Equestrian Federation, last year Angard ranked 23rd, and the Varna sports club ranked 5th among all horse clubs in the country. Training takes place only in the daytime, since the parade ground does not have artificial lighting — in winter from 10.00 to 17.00, in the summer - from 08.00 to 20.00. There are a lot of volunteers, the schedule of classes must be approached with a preliminary call up instructor. Basically, the “park” of the Vinitsa base consists of beautiful, tall, lean and elegant horses of the local East Bulgarian breed. The children of one of the authors of our magazine are simply obsessed with horses, and in many respects the reason for this is the sincere and relaxed atmosphere prevailing in the Varna-style cultural and educational system “."
