La Saussaz Sports Complex Montreux (Complexe sportif de la Saussaz)
La Saussaz Sports Complex is a municipal football and athletics centre in Chailly-Montreux above the town of Montreux in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. Spread between Route de la Saussaz and Route de Plan Chailly, it brings together the regional Stade de la Saussaz athletics stadium with natural grass football pitch, several synthetic football fields and a multi-use games area in one coherent site. The complex is used daily by local schools and clubs and serves as a home base for teams such as FC Montreux-Sports and other regional football and athletics organisations.
The main stadium combines a six-lane athletics track with a natural grass football pitch and floodlighting, allowing the venue to host canton-level and national athletics meetings as well as league matches in front of around 2,000 spectators. On the western side of the road, two next-generation synthetic FIFA 1-certified football pitches and an additional training field provide intensive use surfaces for club training, competition and youth tournaments, with a small tartan mini-pitch for technical work and small-sided games. Together these installations form one of the principal outdoor team-sport and athletics hubs for the Montreux area, suitable for regular league play, regional events and multi-day training camps.
