Crans-Montana Youth Hostel, also known as Bella Lui, occupies a renovated 1930s sanatorium on a sunny plateau above Lake Grenon in the Valais resort of Crans-Montana. The building keeps its clean modernist lines and south-facing balconies, with three sun terraces and wide windows giving far-reaching views of the Valais Alps and the giant Crans Montana sign. Guests stay in simple but bright rooms from singles to multi-bed dorms, many with private bathrooms, in a relaxed setting that works well for families, school groups and individual travellers.
The hostel offers a casual restaurant with breakfast and half-board options, a bistro bar and lounge areas, a roof terrace and a garden. Free Wi-Fi, lift access, children and youth play corners and generally quiet surroundings make it an easy base while still being within walking distance of the village centre, the lakeside leisure zone and the mountain lifts.
Thanks to its location in the heart of a major mountain resort, the hostel is a practical base for hiking, biking and snowsports camps, with quick transfers between accommodation, training on the slopes or trails, and the shops, cafes and services of Crans-Montana.
