Jiu Jitsu school3 is a Renzo Gracie Academy, founded in 2004, by Professor Pantelis Panayides, a Black Belt and former student of the legendary Renzo Gracie himself. What is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu? It's a martial art and combat sport that teaches you how to defend yourself against someone bigger than you are, by using leverage and technique. The Gracie family, the founders of BJJ, modified judo and traditional Japanese jui jutsu to create this art.
Pantelis' vision of a bigger, more competitive academy, was realised in 2008, when he joined forces with his student, Andreas Achniotis Perales. Today, ASPIDA is the largest and oldest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Cyprus, home to 4 black belts and more than 80 students. People join us for many different reasons; from members looking to increase their fitness, to those who want to be a part of our medal winning, competition team. Whatever your reason, we welcome you warmly and invite you to come and test yourself, both physically and mentally, build long-lasting relationships, and become a champion!
