Békéscsaba Árpád Thermal and Beach Bath is a 23,684 m² municipal spa and beach complex in the heart of Békéscsaba, with 2,684 m² of water surface and 10 pools, including 4 thermal pools. Its alkaline bicarbonate medicinal water comes from two deep wells (Well I from 1959 at 1,974 m and 76 °C; Well II from 1978 at 800 m and 40 °C), officially recognised as medicinal water in 2001–2002, with the spa itself certified in 2006. The site has capacity for 1,030 visitors per day in winter and 3,624 in summer, and combines historic charm from its 1922 beach origins with modern redevelopment completed in 2002–2003, including renewed swimming and thermal pools, adventure and educational pools, playgrounds and snack bars. The Jázmin Health Center operates year round with outdoor thermal pools partly covered in winter, medicinal pools, and the grandstand swimming pool. In summer, a beach and training pool with a giant slide and a children’s pool complete the offer, together with sports fields and green areas. The medicinal water is used chiefly for joint, rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions, supported since 2004 by balneological treatments such as medical therapeutic massage, mud wraps, underwater jet massage, underwater group gymnastics and group therapeutic swimming for guests under 18, alongside sauna, steam and other wellness services.
