Centro sportivo del Gambarogno is the regional municipal sports centre of Magadino in the municipality of Gambarogno, on the northern shore of Lake Maggiore in the Swiss canton of Ticino. In recent years the complex has been refurbished and expanded to offer a broader range of sports facilities for local clubs, schools and the general population.
The site is organised around three full size football pitches (two natural grass and one synthetic), a BMX track, an athletics track and a multi purpose court which in winter is transformed into a 40 x 20 metre artificial ice rink for skating and hockey. Together these facilities support year round football, athletics and cycling training, as well as seasonal ice activities and community events.
The sports centre also includes a children’s playground, recreation areas and the starting point of a Zurich Vita Parcours fitness trail through the Bolle di Magadino area, offering a 3.46 km loop with multiple exercise stations. This combination of structured pitches, track and ice infrastructure with surrounding green spaces makes the Centro sportivo del Gambarogno a key hub for everyday sport and outdoor activity in the region.
