The National Sports and Culture Centre d’Coque is a massive sports and leisure complex located in the municipality of Luxembourg. It is one of the largest sports and leisure complexes in Europe, boasting a total area of 47 hectares.
The Sports Hall is the largest building in the complex and is home to a variety of sports facilities, such as an indoor 12 multi-purpose sports halls, a medical center, several training rooms, a bowling alley, a large aquatic center comprises 7 pools, including 2 Olympic pools (competition and training pools with FINA-certified timing), a diving pool up to 15 m deep, as well as a 10 m diving tower, a fitness centre, and a squash court.
Inside the Sports Hall, visitors can enjoy a variety of sports, such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, and squash. The swimming pool also offers swimming lessons for both adults and children. The fitness centre offers a variety of fitness classes, such as aerobics, yoga, and Pilates. A modern and friendly Wellness Centre provides relaxation and regeneration for athletes: various saunas, snow cabin, hammam, tepidarium, themed showers, cold pools, massage services and other possibilities for relaxation.
The National Sports and Culture Centre d’Coque hosts a variety of events throughout the year. It is the host of the annual Luxembourg Open, a prestigious international tennis tournament.
The Sports Base also offers an accommodation in The Coque Hotel 3*. Its 36 comfortable rooms with 2 beds provide with a shower room, television, safe, WIFI connection, non-smoking, with breakfast, half-board or full-board.
Within the Coque you will find several catering points: Fresh & Fitness Corner where the guests can enjoy a wide range of sandwiches, an assortment of salads, organic gourmet pastries, organic fresh fruit juices and soups and pasta of the day and the elegant and refined setting restaurant, La Coquille which serves you elaborate and tasty cuisine, à la carte or as daily menus.
