The Sportschule Oberhaching is a large multi sport campus and tagungshotel just south of Munich, combining high level training facilities with on site accommodation and conference spaces. The site brings together four natural grass pitches, a heated full size artificial turf, modern indoor halls and a compact swimming and recovery area so that clubs, federations and schools can live, train and meet under one roof. With 257 beds, free Wi Fi, meeting rooms and a broad sports programme it works both as a training camp base and as a classic seminar venue close to a major city.
Indoors the school offers a strong multi sport package. There are two large triple sports halls, one with 60 x 40 metres and one with around 45 x 27 metres, which can be divided into smaller units for parallel training in handball, basketball, futsal or badminton. A dedicated golf and multifunction hall with artificial turf of about 15 x 18 metres serves golf, hockey and technical drills, while a single hall of roughly 44 x 22 metres is set up for floorball, inline sports and other rollsport with boards. A 25 metre indoor pool, constant shallow depth, is paired with a small heated recovery pool, sauna area, ice bath and massage room. Three strength and conditioning zones cover free weight lifting, machine based training, EGYM circuit, cardio work and a modern Skillcourt for agility and cognitive drills. Leisure zones with table tennis, billiards, darts and six bowling lanes give teams space to relax on site.
Outdoors the campus is built around team sports and athletics. Four full size natural grass football fields can be lined for football, baseball or softball, with one main pitch surrounded by a 400 metre tartan track and long jump areas. Next to them is a heated artificial turf field in official size with floodlights for all weather training. The athletics offer includes the track with hurdles and water jump plus a separate throwing field for discus, javelin and hammer. A DFB soccer court, street style basketball court, boccia and badminton areas, three beach volleyball courts, outdoor Teqball tables and street racket zones, as well as one of Bavaria’s larger 18 basket disc golf layouts, sit across the campus and neighbouring woodland.
Accommodation is fully integrated. The house holds 257 beds split into a larger course wing and a quieter guest area. The course section offers 91 twin rooms, 20 single rooms and four accessible triple rooms served by a lift, while the guest wing adds 10 single rooms, 14 double rooms, one triple room and two suites. All rooms come with shower and toilet, telephone and balcony or terrace, plus free WLAN and flat screens with Sky Sport in selected areas so players and staff can follow matches in the evenings.
Catering and meetings are set up for groups. The main sports restaurant has more than 250 seats and a beer garden and serves three athlete friendly meals per day; for smaller or more formal occasions there is a Bavarian style Stube and, for social evenings, the Sportler Treff with snacks, drinks and live broadcasts of Bundesliga and Champions League. The conference side includes a modern lecture hall for up to 133 people, a dividable mirror hall for up to 160 people and several seminar and group rooms for about 10 to 40 participants, all with daylight, presentation technology and fast Wi Fi. The school sits directly by Furth S Bahn station on the S3 line, with about 14 kilometres into central Munich and roughly 44 kilometres to Munich Airport, so transfers to city stadiums and the airport are straightforward.
