SamElyon Health and Sport Green City is a newly opened mountain resort complex on the edge of Samokov, built as a self contained city that combines a four star hotel, aparthotel and residences with a modern sport and event center at the foot of the Rila Mountain and above the Iskar River. Guests and teams stay, train, compete and recover on the same green campus of over 70 000 square metres, with fresh high altitude air and views of the surrounding peaks.
Rooms
The accommodation side of SamElyon offers around 166 units across the main hotel, aparthotel and residence buildings, ranging from classic rooms to spacious maisonettes and corner suites, all with contemporary design, mountain or river views, Wi Fi and access to the spa and fitness center.
Sports
At the heart of the complex stands Arena SamElyon, a 1 824 m² multipurpose indoor arena with seating for up to around 3 000 spectators in sports layout and up to 4 000 for concerts, designed for top level basketball and other indoor events. Next to it, the 960 m² Triumph Hall with 10 metre clear height and four additional multifunctional halls between 81 and 112 m² host training sessions, small sided games, dance, martial arts and team activities, while five outdoor courts cover mini football, padel and tennis. The venue is already selected for major international basketball tournaments, underlining its professional standard.
Dining
Several restaurants and bars inside the complex provide buffet style and à la carte dining, using local produce and international recipes, with the capacity to organise festive dinners, sports menus and private functions for teams and delegations. In practice most sports groups stay on arrangements that include breakfast and dinner, with the option to add lunches or packed meals around training and competition schedules.
Meetings
The dedicated conference center spreads over roughly 500 m² and consists of a flexible main hall that can be divided, a boardroom, modular Strategy rooms, an executive lounge, a cocktail foyer and an events foyer near the arena and Triumph Hall, all equipped with modern AV, natural daylight in most spaces and direct access to the sport and event side. This makes SamElyon suitable for congresses, club meetings, workshops or sponsor events running in parallel with training camps and tournaments.
Wellness
The Health and Spa center combines an aqua zone with an indoor pool, jacuzzi and experience showers, a thermal area with Finnish sauna and steam bath, relaxation lounges and a rehabilitation section with treatment rooms, plus a modern gym for strength and conditioning. An additional outdoor pool, landscaped walking areas and the natural altitude of around 950–960 metres provide an excellent environment for regeneration and light outdoor conditioning between sessions.
