Sport Arena Nottwil is a comprehensive sports facility equipped with a wide range of amenities to accommodate various seated para sports and wheelchair physical activities. From youth to recreational to competitive sports – you’ve come to the right place.
The sports base features various training equipment and specialised facilities to cater to athletes and fitness enthusiasts of all skill levels. It also offers a range of programs and services such as individual training, team practices, and competitions. The facility is staffed by experienced instructors, trainers, and coaches, who are available to assist and guide individuals in reaching their goals.
The facility has also repeatedly hosted Grand Prix athletics competitions for disabled people in wheelchairs and in 2017 and 2019 the first two editions of the Junior World Athletics Championships for disabled people took place here.
Nottwil’s Sport Arena is located in the grounds of the Swiss Paraplegics Centre and on the shores of Lake Sempach.

The spacious state-of-the-art indoor swimming pool is used for therapy and staff sport, as well as by sports clubs and the general public. Wheelchair accessible with patient lifter.

The renovation and extension of the sports facilities have provided the best possible preconditions for wheelchair athletes and able-bodied athletes to train and compete.
Indoor Sports hall:
The triple-sized sports hall can be divided down the middle and has an extendable stand. The sports hall can be used for any type of event and is suitable for multifunctional use.
Roller Training hall:
-Training rollers for 20 racing wheelchairs
-Training rollers for 12 hand bikes
-Performance measurement station
It is open to all athletes with a spinal cord injury. This is where top-ranking, recreational, and up-and-coming athletes train under one roof all year round.
