Sportpro SA Lodge and Accommodation in Ferndale, Randburg is a purpose built high altitude sports lodge designed for touring teams and athlete groups. The property combines on site training facilities, a full recovery centre, and team friendly accommodation, with around 90 beds spread across multiple houses. A cafeteria, dining hall, braai area, entertainment room, gardens, and swimming pools create an all in one environment for training camps, preparation phases, and team events.
Rooms
Accommodation is arranged across six main units: Eland House with 13 beds, Kudu House with 35 beds, Springbok House with 25 beds, Bomb Squad Room with 12 beds, Coaches Corner House with 4 beds, and an Executive Suite with 1 bed. All units offer free Wi Fi and are supported by 24 hour security, a guard house, and safe secure parking, making it practical for full squads, coaches, and support staff to stay on one site.
Sports
The lodge operates at altitude and includes a dedicated gym, outdoor training fields, and a combined netball and basketball court. A specialised recovery centre with multiple modalities supports post training and post match regeneration. Additional sport specific facilities such as cricket and golf nets, a five aside soccer field, and a 40 metre artificial speed track are being added to further extend the training offer.
Dining
Teams are catered for through a fully equipped kitchen, cafeteria, and dining hall, with flexible catering options available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to training schedules. A braai area and outdoor spaces provide relaxed settings for team meals and informal gatherings.
Meetings
The lodge regularly hosts training groups, conferences, team building programmes, end of year functions, birthday parties, and other celebratory events. Indoor spaces such as the workshop and entertainment rooms support video analysis, briefings, and group sessions alongside social activities.
Wellness
The recovery centre includes showers, an Epsom salt bath, sauna, ice baths, steam room, and a physio room, allowing professional level recovery protocols to be run on site. Outdoor swimming pools and landscaped gardens add further options for light recovery and relaxation between sessions.
