Stadio Comunale Ascona is a municipal football stadium located on Via Delta in Ascona, in the Locarno region of Ticino, Switzerland. Nestled between the River Maggia and the surrounding hills, it serves as the home ground of FC Ascona and a key venue for regional league football in the area.
The stadium consists of a natural grass pitch of approximately 98 x 65 metres, surrounded on one side by a main concrete grandstand with around 1,000 seats, about half of which are covered. With an overall capacity of around 1,400 spectators, including standing areas, the ground is floodlit and configured exclusively for football, with no athletics track, providing good sightlines and a compact match environment for league fixtures and friendly games.
In addition to first team matches, Stadio Comunale Ascona is regularly used for youth fixtures, training sessions and football events organised by FC Ascona and the local authorities. Its simple but functional layout, natural grass surface and scenic setting make it a practical venue for grassroots and semi professional football activities throughout the season.
